LinkedIn announced it's "Intelligent Aplication Platform". It has two types of interfaces. One is the Google API, where the application essentially runs on their servers. Another one is using the LinkedIn API and Widgets where an external application (only if the user agrees to it), can have access to the LinkedIn user profile, friends list, etc. to enrich that application. And that is exactly what I want to do: allow users to make a mash-up of my content, using information they store on LinkedIn. So I sent off a request to LinkedIn and am curious what will be the response. Should be a win-win for all.

Update: December 2010: 3 years later, and still no response from LinkedIn ;-)
