Datanews article on Ruby on Rails
Sat, 10/05/2008 - 16:28 — petervYesterday (9 May 2008), Datanews published an article by Koen Vervloesem on Ruby on Rails. It is based on interviews with people from CSA (Conseil Supérieur de l' Audiovisuel) and myself about my job site.
The article is in Dutch. This is a scan of the article (using my terrific Agfa Snapscan and XSane on Ubuntu :-).
Open source vereist consulting diensten
Thu, 08/05/2008 - 22:58 — petervDit artikel:
http://www.cnet.com/8301-13505_1-9934560-16.html?part=rss&tag=feed&subj=...

This one is great too.

Obvious too, I guess ..

BarCamp Ghent presentation online (allejobsinleuven.be update)
Sun, 30/03/2008 - 22:49 — petervI tried to post the update presentation about allejobsinleuven.be at BarCamp Ghent 2008 to slideshare, but that didn't work for now (temporary problem please try again ...). For now, it is available as an attachment here (see below). The meeting was really fun, including the GeekDinner en GirlGeekDinner afterwards. With some "motivational speach" from Imke and Ellen (and due to the presence of Wii Tennis in the new offices of the host Netlash), my daughter Saar promised to join the GirlGeekDinner the next time :-)
Duo home DJ set: vinyl vs. mp3 on a lazy afternoon
Mon, 24/03/2008 - 17:41 — petervFun in de living. Vinyl vs. mp3 / Pjotr vs. Saar.
LeuvenValley group on LinkedIn over 100 members; some statistics
Sat, 22/03/2008 - 12:23 — petervToday the LeuvenValley group on LinkedIn got over 100 members. Statistics about the link I personally have with the members:
- direct links: 51
- 2nd level links: 41
- 3rd level links: 11
- Total: 103
To me, especially the 50% links to people that I do not know personally (the 2nd and 3rd level links) are relevant. These are mainly people active in other fields of business: R&D, medical, legal, car rental, auditors, manufacturing, ...
